Pain Relief Without Medication Isn't a Claim. It's a 20-Minute Experience You Can Have Right Now.

No changes to your prescriptions. No commitment.
Just your nervous system doing something
you may not have known it could do.

TL;DR Summary

Pain relief without medication is neurologically possible because pain is a signal your brain produces, and signals can be influenced. This free MP3 is a 20-minute guided session that reduces pain temporarily, typically for around 30 minutes after listening. It will not eliminate your pain. It is not designed to. The point is to let you feel what words alone can do to your nervous system, before you decide whether you want to explore this further. No email required to understand the science. An email is required to get the MP3.

What Is It?

Pain relief without medication starts with one question most doctors have never answered for you.

How much of what you are feeling right now is your actual condition, and how much is your nervous system running a pattern it learned a long time ago?

Not a rhetorical question. A neurological one.

Your brain does not passively receive pain like a radio picking up a signal. It actively constructs the pain experience based on what it expects, what it fears, and what it has been trained to prioritize. A structure called the Reticular Activating System, your brain’s filtering mechanism, decides what sensory information reaches your awareness and what gets screened out.

Right now you are not feeling the weight of your clothes on your shoulders, the temperature of the air entering your nose, or the pressure of whatever surface your feet rest on. Your brain is receiving that information. It has simply decided none of it is urgent enough to flag.

Chronic pain gets flagged as urgent. Constantly. Even when the original injury has healed, even when your body has done everything it was supposed to do. The alarm stays on because your nervous system learned to keep it on. That pattern is real. It is also trainable.

That is what the MP3 demonstrates. Not a cure. A demonstration.

Can Words Reduce Pain When Medicatsion Can't?

Medications for chronic pain work from the outside in. They modify the chemistry that processes pain signals, block transmission pathways, or reduce inflammation at the site. They do not address the pattern the brain has learned to run.

Stanford psychiatrist Dr. David Spiegel has spent more than 40 years studying pain and the brain. His research using functional MRI found that during hypnosis, activity drops in the salience network, the region that flags incoming signals as threats and amplifies them. When that region quiets, the same nerve input produces a different experience. Read the Stanford research

The 2021 Milling meta-analysis, the most comprehensive review of hypnosis and pain in two decades, analyzed 42 controlled studies and found that the average person receiving hypnosis experienced less pain than 73% of people in the control group. Read the research

The mechanism is not mystical. Your brain assigns meaning to pain signals. That meaning determines how loud the signal gets. Hypnotherapy works by accessing the part of your brain that assigns that meaning, the subconscious, and giving it a different instruction.

A recording cannot do the full clinical version of that work. But it can show you that the door exists.

Before, During, and After Your First Listen

Before
Find somewhere you will not be interrupted for 20 minutes. Sitting is fine. Lying down is fine. The position that lets you relax most completely is the right one. Headphones produce better results than speakers. You do not need to be in any particular mental state. You do not need to clear your mind or prepare anything.

During
You will be awake. You will be aware of the room around you. You will be able to stop the recording at any moment. What will change is the quality of your attention, it narrows, focuses, and settles in a way that most people describe as the deepest relaxation they can remember. Most first-time listeners are surprised they were aware the entire time. That is what this is supposed to feel like.

After
Notice what shifted. Not what disappeared, what shifted. Some people notice reduced intensity. Some notice a quality change in the sensation, from sharp to dull, from burning to pressure. Some notice the pain has moved slightly. Some notice nothing during the session and find they slept differently that night.

Any of those responses is a signal worth paying attention to.

Who Gets the Most From This

The MP3 works best for people with chronic pain at level 5 or higher on most days, who are on current medications or have been, and who are genuinely curious whether their nervous system can respond to something other than a pill.

It is also worth trying if you are not ready for a full clinical commitment but want something tangible before deciding.

This is not the right fit if your pain is mild or occasional, if it began recently from a new injury, or if you are looking for something that requires no engagement at all. The session asks you to follow along and stay focused. That is the only requirement.

What a Recording Can and Can't Do

Tim Biden, BCHt, is a Board Certified Hypnotherapist. He is not a doctor and has no intention of becoming one. He cannot recommend changes to your medications, evaluate your diagnosis, or assess whether this approach is medically appropriate for your specific condition.

Nothing in this MP3 is a recommendation to reduce, pause, or stop any medication you are currently taking. Your prescriptions remain between you and your physician.

What the MP3 offers is a direct experience of what the nervous system can do when accessed correctly. If the experience resonates, the next step is a 7-question assessment that helps determine whether a full session is likely to be useful for your situation. That assessment is free and takes about five minutes.

Questions Worth Asking First

Is this hypnosis? Because hypnosis makes me nervous.

Yes, the session uses clinical hypnotherapy techniques. No, it is not stage hypnosis or anything like what you have seen used for entertainment. You will not lose control, say anything you would not normally say, or forget what happened. You remain aware and in control throughout. Most people who complete the session say they were surprised by how aware they were during something that felt so deeply relaxing.

If you are a person of faith, I recommend that you pray before listening. God designed your brain and nervous system with an extraordinary capacity for healing. This session works with what He built, not around it.

Will 20 minutes actually do anything for years of chronic pain?

One 20-minute recording will not resolve chronic pain. That is not what it is designed to do. What it is designed to do is demonstrate that your nervous system can respond, that the volume can shift, and give you a basis for deciding whether a full clinical session is worth pursuing. Think of it as a proof of concept, not a full treatment.

What if it does not work for me?

Then you spent 20 minutes trying something different and you are exactly where you are now. No cost, no risk, nothing to cancel. If it does not produce any noticeable shift at all after two or three honest attempts with full focus, this approach may not be the right fit for your nervous system at this time. Tim will say that directly rather than keep sending emails.

I have tried meditation and breathing apps. How is this different?

Meditation and mindfulness apps are built around acceptance and observation, learning to coexist with pain rather than influence the signal itself. This session is built around neural retraining. The goal is not to observe the pain from a calmer distance. The goal is to give your nervous system a different instruction and measure whether it responds. The mechanism is different and the intent is different.

Do I need to stop my medications to use this?

No. Nothing in this recording requires any change to your current prescriptions. That decision, if it ever becomes relevant, belongs entirely to you and your prescribing physician. The MP3 is safe to use alongside any current medication regimen.

What happens after I download it?

You get the MP3, the Quick Start PDF, and a personal follow-up email from Tim within 24 hours. After that, nothing happens unless you decide it should. If you want to explore a full session, the Chronic Pain Assessment is the next step. If you want to unsubscribe and walk away, one click does that.

Your Nervous System Has Never Been Asked This Question

Pain relief without medication begins with one small experiment. Twenty minutes. No pills. No changes to anything you are currently doing.

If something shifts during that 20 minutes, if the signal drops even slightly, if the quality of the sensation changes for half an hour, you have learned something about your nervous system that your doctor has probably never told you.

That’s worth knowing.

Not recommended for recent injuries or pain levels below 5. Nothing in this recording constitutes medical advice or a recommendation to change any medication.
